fofo lab is a design studio based in Tokyo. At here, we believe that humans, made in the image of the Creator, carry within them the desire and ability to create. We explore how form is born — through hands, through code, through curiosity. Each object we make is a quiet experiment: an interplay of structure and softness, of thinking and feeling, of meaning and soul.

fofo lab 是一家位於東京的設計工作室。在這裡，我們相信，人類按造物主的形象被創造，內在本就承載著創造的渴望與能力。我們探索形是如何誕生的——透過雙手、透過程式、透過好奇心。每一件作品，都是一場靜默的實驗：結構與柔軟的交織、思考與感受的對話，以及意義與靈魂之間的共振。
fofo lab focused on the research and application of three-dimensional form-making and fabrication methods. Our activities span three key areas.
First, we design and self-produce original products. Utilizing our in-house form-generation techniques, we develop a range of works—such as toys, lighting, furniture, and sculptural installations—realized through digital fabrication tools including laser cutters, CNC routers, and 3D printers.
Second, we provide collaborative research services for companies and institutions. Our team has accumulated years of expertise in spatial and structural design, including studies on transformable shapes and lightweight, portable systems.
Third, we support personal creative activities for the general public. The methods we develop are intuitive and easy to learn, empowering even non-experts to turn their ideas into tangible designs and physical objects.
In addition, members of fofo lab also conduct long-term research in architecture and urban history. We believe that form-making is not only a design practice, but also a tool for activating imagination and realizing ideas. Through hands-on making, we aim to contribute to community-driven creative and urban initiatives.

首先，我們進行原創產品的設計與自製。運用內部開發的造形生成手法，結合雷射切割機、CNC 銑床與 3D 列印等數位製造工具，開發包括玩具、燈具、家具以及雕塑性裝置在內的多樣作品。
其次，我們為企業與研究機構提供協作式研究服務。團隊多年來累積了在空間與結構設計領域的經驗，研究內容涵蓋可變形形態、輕量化結構，以及可攜式系統等方向。
第三，我們支持大眾的個人創作活動。fofo lab 所發展的造形方法直觀且易於學習，即使是非專業者，也能藉此將自身的想法轉化為具體的設計與實體作品。
此外，fofo lab 的成員亦持續從事建築與都市歷史相關的長期研究。我們相信，造形不僅是一種設計實踐，更是一種啟動想像力、實現構想的工具。透過親手製作的過程，我們期望能為社群導向的創意行動與都市實踐帶來貢獻。
